About this event
In 2011 'Dementia: Osborne Park Hospital Guide for Occupational Therapists in Clinical Practice' was published as an evidence-based, easy reference guide for Occupational Therapists working in dementia care.
In 2019 'Guiding Occupational Therapy Practice for People Living with Dementia in the Community' is a rewrite of this original guide and the result of a partnership between the Sir Charles Gairdner and Osborne Park Hospitals Group Occupational Therapy Departments and Dementia Training Australia.
The guide is intended to complement the array of published work available nationally and internationally, providing Occupational Therapists with a comprehensive guide to assist them in determining their scope of practice in their individual settings.
This guest lecture will:
- Present the structure and reasoning behind the revised guide to OT practice
- Demonstrate use of information from the guide through practical ADL-based examples
